About Me

I’m Fernando Alexim, a designer shaped by three cities, three cultures, and more than two decades of designing homes that feel intentional, modern, and deeply human.

My journey began in Brazil, evolved through years of hands‑on residential work in London, and found its purpose in Toronto, a city where creativity, technical rigour, and cultural diversity meet. With 25+ years of experience, I bring a rare blend of design sensitivity, construction knowledge, and calm, clear communication that helps clients feel grounded and confident from day one.

I’m BCIN‑certified, trained in the Ontario Building Code, and fluent in the realities of residential construction. I work closely with builders, engineers, and consultants to ensure every project is coordinated, buildable, and beautifully executed. My design sensibility leans toward minimalist geometry, clean lines, and spaces that feel effortless, but are always rooted in how people actually live.

Clients often tell me they appreciate my ability to translate complex technical requirements into simple, human language. I believe architecture should feel accessible, not intimidating, and that the best results come from genuine collaboration.

Beyond Architecture

Outside the studio, I stay connected to the things that inspire my work: art, time in nature, and the joy of cooking for the people I love. These moments shape the way I see space, light, and texture, and they remind me that good design begins with how life unfolds inside a home.
